Crafty Vegans
Being a vegan extends an awful lot further than the food that you eat...
Vegans don't buy clothing made from animals, which means leather, silk and wool are excluded. You will be surprised how many clothes have just a sneaky bit of these materials... a pair of synthetic shoes with a leather pad in the heel, or an acrylic jumper with 3% angora. Look out for these things.
Crafts can include materials that vegans would chose not to use: felt and wool are prime examples.
There are some alternatives to wool, and not just acrylic... so far I have managed to find a few different yarns, including those made from banana, hemp, cotton, recycled materials and bamboo. As with food, just look carefully at the labels.

Mel Shoes
A high street brand, that has vegan principles at it's heart, AND sells gorgeous shoes... what more could a vegan girl want?!
"Mel is the playful younger sister of Melissa, a happy go lucky footwear brand whose only aim in life is to sweeten your stride.
Taking on the same ethical stance as their sister brand Mel believes in being Vegan friendly, recyclable with a subtle scent, and proving that fashion can be thoughtful."
Needless to say, I bought these pumps in three colours (I've gone back for my second pair in black) and have some killer wedges I'm itching to wear (hurry up summer!). Love, love, LOVE these.
